Kde gestisce il telefonino!

Girovagando tra le applicazioni kde mi sono imbattuto in KMobileTools,un gestore per telefoni cellulari con sistema Motorola (ma funzionano anche i Siemens e i Nokia). Avevo già visto progetti simili come moto4lin e alla fine mi rendo conto che questi due programmi sono complementari,nel senso che all’uno mancano alcune funzioni dell’altro. Oggi parliamo di KMoblieTools:

INSTALLAZIONE

Per installarlo, se usiamo kubuntu diamo un

sudo apt-get install kmobiletools


e ce lo ritroveremo nel menu Accessori.Se possedete un’altra distribuzione usate il vostro metodo generico di installazione o scaricate i sorgenti .Volevo soltanto farvi notare che la versione nei repository di ubuntu è la 0.4.x mentre è in sviluppo la 0.5.Questa guida si riferisce alla 0.4

CONFIGURAZIONE

Prima di avviare il programma collegate il vostro cellulare ad una porta usb.E’ possibile anche utilizzare un collegamento bluethoot manon posso provarlo:) Provate a dare

dmesg

e controllate se il vostro cellulare è stato riconosciuto.Di solito è presente anche l’indirizzo a cui è collegato.Da me è

dev/ttyACM0

da voi dovrebbe essere qualcosa di simile. Aprite kmobiltools e dopo una schermata introduttiva probabilmente non troverà il vostro cellulare! : ) Niente paura basta settare il giusto indirizzo nel campo “Mobile Phone Device”

Sistemate le altre impostazioni a piacere vostro e adesso il telefono è riconosciuto. Nella finestra principale viene indicato il livello del segnale e della batteria! :)

Una funzione interessante del programma è quella di poter sincronizzare la vostra lista contatti e leggere gli sms e salvarli sul proprio pc(funzione sicuramente molto utile).Una piccola nota.Come nella maggiorparte dei programmi Kde è possibile configurare delle notifiche e ne esiste una anche per quando vi arriva un sms.Ho prvato ad inviarmene un…e Kde mi ha avvertito con un popup ed un suono! A presto una recensione di moto4lin che permette più genericamente di leggere l’hard-drive del dispositivo e di conseguenza salvare foto e video sul proprio pc.
