Ok…kde avrà un nuovo application-launcher al posto del simpatico Katapult.
Katapult non era un granchè diciamocelo,per me non ha mai sostituito Alt+F2,quando installi un nuovo programma non lo trova subito e non te lo propone fra le “opzioni di lancio”.Il nuovo launcher sarà naturalmente un plasmoide,tutto in kde4 è un ectoplasma ce l’hanno ripetuto talmente tante volte.Quello che mi chiedo, seriamente…ma

Visto che ci siete si chiama così perché richiama le parole launch-a-lot e anche perché il suo creatore usava “Sir Lancelot” come nick…
Ah,qualcuno stava già festeggiando dopo aver visto un nome senza la K… mi spiace interrompere i festeggiamenti,ma la K c’è,e sta in “Knight Lancelot”! eh eh

Intanto mi scuso con Ivan Čuki,ho inteso male quello che davvero è Lancelot.Di sicuro,si sarà capito,questo post era scherzoso,il pretesto di farsi quattro risate sul nome di questa applicazione…a me divertiva!Comunque sia,Lancelot non è solo un Plasmoide,bensì un’applicazione standalone che può servirsi di un plasmoide…ah,e non è un rimpiazzo di Katapult!Volete sapere cos’èLancelot…stay tuned!

Lancelot is not a replacement for Katapult. I don’t know where you came up with that idea.
Second, Lancelot is not [only] a plasmoid, it is a stand alone application that (like Amarok2) uses libplasma for displaying it’s contents. Parts of it’s contents could be, possibly, added to plasma as plasmoids.

I don’t understand the question.
Lancelot is an application launcher like Kmenu, Kickoff, KBFX, TastyMenu are, but different “in it’s own idiom” (pun from Monty Python). I have mentioned Amarok here because both Lancelot and Amarok use libplasma for advanced graphic elements. Amarok2 uses it for displaying only the contextual information, while Lancelot uses it for the whole interface. It is, currently, the only connection between the two.
P.S. I don’t understand Italian, so it would be nice if you wanted to ask me something else, to write it in English. Thanks.

You don’t need to apologize for the wrong information – it’s not the thing that bothered me regarding your post.
To be honest, I’m not surprised that you are confused. My intention was to keep most of the Lancelot related things under a wrap, with just small information leakage – so everything I wanted to be known is in blog. The main thing is to understand that Lancelot is just my toy, an experiment, that could [eventually] be useful for people that don’t like the default ALI in KDE 4 (whichever will be the default one).

Per tutti gli Italiani invece,se volete qualche informazione su Lancelot che,come avrete capito,è più una diversa implementazione di un application launcher come Kmenu e simili.Daremo ancora un’occhiata al blog di Ivan per eventuali novità che vi riporterò puntualmente…correte spero!
